The GDBP is seeking a Post-Secondary Research Assistant with great communication skills to fill a 12–16-week term position. The mandate of the GDBP is to work to enhance the small business climate, the tourism sector and overall community development in the Municipality. The ideal candidate would have experience working in MODG; have familiarity with the district and organizations/groups; be outgoing and approachable; have some post-secondary education and possess good writing and technology skills. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of application, hold a valid driver’s license (with reliable transportation).
The normal hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the rate of pay is $18.00/hr. Deadline to apply is Friday, May 10th at 4:30 p.m. The anticipated start date for the position is as soon as possible. Applications must be submitted by email to acunningham@gdbp.ca.
