The GDBP is seeking a part-time, Newcomers Coordinator for a 1-year term (with a 6-month probationary period). The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual and will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for newcomers in MODG by planning engaging events; working to create a newcomer network by facilitating connections across the Municipality; creating materials and a welcoming package. The successful candidate must be very outgoing and approachable and be comfortable with outreach to newcomers, locals and organizations. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of the municipality and with organizations and groups in it; have some post-secondary education relevant to the position and possess good writing and technology skills.
Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
