The GDBP is here to help you feel welcome no matter where you are from or what part of MODG you move to!
We are launching a Welcoming Committee Initiative so that newcomers have a safe space where they are encouraged to have fun, meet members of our communities, and learn more about the spot they have moved to!
If you are a newcomer, we encourage you to fill out our online form ( located at the bottom of this post ) so we can get to know you, support you, and keep you in the loop! Filling out this form is completely voluntary and is not a requirement for you or your family to attend future events that the Welcoming Committee organizes, But it will assist us in identifying where our future events and initiatives are most needed, allow you to sign up to be matched up with a ‘Buddy’. and allow us to stay in touch with you effectively.
At the bottom of this post, you will also see a button to be taken to our “Buddy Matchup Program’ Sign up. If you are a local who is interested in taking part, we encourage you to use this form to sign up to be a potential ‘Buddy’ for the Buddy Matchup Program, which pairs local residents with newcomers to establish a supportive connection for those moving to the area. This will take some of the stress away from moving to a new area and ensure newcomers feel supported from the outset and feel a sense of belonging.
